Supercar Psychology
Have you ever been behind the wheel of an impeccably designed car, where every detail is intentional?
Every line and contour, the choice of surface materials, the responsiveness of the steering wheel, the respective tension of the clutch, brake, and gas pedals; all elegantly channeled in the same direction: optimizing the driving experience for that car’s assets and abilities, and creating the ultimate in performance for that car’s designated purpose.
Whether it’s a supercar on a track or a Jeep on the dunes of Moab, they’re fun to drive in the proper context because the limits of the vehicle are designed to be known and pushed.
Contrast this with the experience of driving a standard issue Kia around town.
It’ll get you from A to B for a few good years, takes low-octane fuel, and you won’t feel bad when the kids smash fruit snacks between the seats… but it won’t take curves like a Lambo, even and especially when you really try.
As a human being attempting a startup, navigating your own psychology from day to day or even moment to moment is much like operating a vehicle. The kind and capability of your vehicle depends on how it’s utilized, refueled, and maintained.
Treat your supercar like a minivan, and it’ll perform like one.
